| Isn't it great? It sure looks like we'll never hear from Chosen 1 again. I know he's left and come back before, but there's something about his last goodbye post that is different. He won't be back, I'd bet the farm on it. Just think, no more of him butting in conversations with his smart-ass comments. No more dumb-ass remarks about shrimp and other stupid things. This is indeed a glorious time. We should've done this when he left, but oh well, better late than never. In honor of the annoying enigma, I feel this is the least we can do for him, and the least is what the idiot deserves. Let's all sing the na na na na hey hey goodbye song for him. Na na na na, na na............

| I miss C1's post. I know that people, myself included, found him annoying at times. Things that made him annoying to people also made him what he is, the controversial enigma. He was never afraid to say what he thinks or butt in on a conversation. That makes him controversial. Why would he post on a message board of a speedway that is probably 1000 miles from where he lives? Things like that makes him an enigma. With someone like that, you have to take the good with the bad. The good being that he is very smart, gave alot of good advice and was almost always on the mark with his opinions. It's a shame that people couldn't see past some things and realize that having him on here would be a huge gain and not be a bad thing. I'm afraid he's now gone forever. I sure hope I'm wrong but you have to admitt it don't look good. It will be a long, boring winter on here without him. There's a real old saying that goes something like this. You don't know what you got untill it's gone.

| I didn't see the games live on TV Saturday night. That's because I went with the Jr. B team on the road, but I wish I had stayed home cause we got hammered 9-1! I heard it was a pretty good game between the Habs and Sabres, but then again, they usually are! Two very evenly matched teams! The Sabres should do okay even without Drury and Briere, lots of good young talent! The Habs are playing well but in some games the bounces don't seem to go their way, but they did almost pull one out in Ottawa! Speaking of the Sens, I don't really care for them, but they are an awesome hockey team! How about the Wild, Bruins, Hawks? Minnessota is not that much of a surprise, but Chicago and Boston? I watched the replay of the Leafs/Hawks game, and the Leafs defence and goaltending looked about as strong as our junior team's did on Saturday! Out of all the match-ups of all the teams, I think I'd rather watch a Montreal/Buffalo game than any other match-up! Always a good skating game! A rivalry but a competetive one without the cheap stuff! Habs/Bruins tonight, should be a good one!

| the same old bruins must have showed.6-1 habs.talking about the wild they are winning with goaltending and defense.at one point in 7 games they had less goals give up than the leafs gave up in a period.whats wrong with the jrb team big turnover of players this year a younger team are they.maybe a year or two to be contenders for the championship have to be patient it will come around.must be a laugh travelling with the kids on the bus.i would certainly enjoy that but not in winter weather.dothey have to travel long distances on the bus or just quick trips.

| I've been traveling with the junior B team for the last 16 years! The stories I can tell you! From getting a police escort out of Shawville, Que. to rookie initiations which have taken place on the way home from road games, I could go on for hours! Returning home on the bus after a championship with a junior B team is something everybody should experience at least once! We didn't have a huge turnaround this year, a few new guys but nothing major! That's the thing with junior B! If the team decides they don't want to play, they won't! You can have Scotty Bowman behind the bench and it won't make any difference! That's because most players playing junior B know they're not going anywhere! If you're still playing B at 18, you're probably never going to advance! I would coach junior A any day before B, because the players take it much more serious and most have a chance of going somewhere, they're much more motivated! Our B team doesn't have too many long trips, the longest is about an hour and a half and that's only a couple times a year! Yeah, how about those Wild? The thing is, with Lemaire coaching, they're gonna be really strong defencivly! If they continue to put the puck in the net, they will be very difficult to play against!

| scored at least one stanley cup winning goal maybe 2.of those 24 cups you so proudly keep reminding me of.meet a guy i grew up with at the rink his son was playing both habs fans.asked him which one was his son playing he said to me lookout there you will figure it out.after a few seconds looking out on the ice to see if i could find his son i see a kid dressed in habs colors and you would never guess what number he was wearing yeah your right 24.i asked was he a chelios fan.he said thats the number i made him wear because everyone use to give him a hard time being a habs fan.so he would turn around and remind them of all the cups they had won.

| That's pretty creative! The only time I mention the cups is when somebody gives me a hard time about my team, and even then if it's all in fun on their part, that's how I respond too! I'm sure it would be the same for you if the Sabres had won 24 cups! You're right when you say there won't be a dynasty for any team again! One thing I never do is raze somebody because my team beat their team! The only time I might do that is if somebody razed me when their team beat mine, then my team beat theirs, and then it's all in fun, unless the person takes it real serious! I tell people all the time it's only a game! Even if you're team loses, it's not life or death! My mom is also a big Habs fan and doesn't take it real serious but gets into it enough! I tell her all the time that she gets more upset after a loss and worries more during a game than the players probably do! I mean, I'm sure they wanna win, but if they don't, oh well, they still make alot of money(most anyway)!

| John Davidson had a great run that spring in the first three rounds and the first game of the finals! I've never really been what you call a Rangers fan, but it was nice to finally see them win a cup, too bad it had to be at the expense of the Canucks! If anybody asks me who I think is the greatest all-around player of all-time, I reply without hesitation; Mark Messier! Some may have scored more goals, some may have been a little rougher or meaner(not much!), but nobody combined everything the way Mess did! Also an unbelievable leader and captain! I always told people at the time that it was Messier, not Gretzky, who held those great Oilers teams together and was the leader!

| cant disagree on the messier thoughts he was awesome he did have a mean streak to.never forget when he hit johsson on the isles that year in the finals i thought he wasnt getting up.meet messier a the arena (twin rinks)the year after they lost in the final to the isles he was here for a hockey school.he was a monster he was watching the ball hockey on the other rink he had a pair of shorts on his leg muscles were like tree trunks.was watching him skate you could just see the ice chips flying as he made his strides it was something to see him go and he wasn only out for a skate.the best i ever see had to be a canada cup warmup game against the national team.watch coffey gretzky and gartner come out of there own end with tape to tape passes out of there own end at full flight.the national team never had a chance it was 8-1 after the 1st period poor jimmy waite came to the bench he was mismarized.

| In no way was I trying to say that Wayne wasn't a great player, the records speak for themselves! But you have to remember, he always had great players playing with him; Messier, Anderson, Kurri, Coffey, etc! While I think the best all-around player is Messier, I feel the best offencive player and purest goal-scorer I've ever seen is Mario Lemieux! He just made it look so easy! Just imagine if he stayed healthy his whole career! He racked up 100-150 points a season in his early years with the Pens, and he had absolutely nobody with him! Grets always had either great or really good players with him! Imagine this scenario! Here it is, draft day 1984! A blockbuster trade is announced! The Oilers trade Gretzky to Pittsburgh for the 1st draft pick, which of couse turns out to be Mario! Can you just imagine the kind of numbers he would put up in Edmonton with the kind of players they had? What kind of numbers would Gretzky put up with the Pens? We'll see if he can turn Warren Young into a 40-goal scorer! One thing is for sure; he wouldn't have as many records as he has now! If Mario stayed healthy with the Oilers, he would set records that would last for eternity!
