| Well folks, another year of hockey has passed us by and yours truly ,along with the GREEN MACHINE, have taken the CEL by storm. Yesterday, Super Saturday, saw the big MACHINE, lay a trashing on Ronnie's Rebels 9-2. The only time that the Rebels were in the game was when Calvert's own Sean Sully sang the "Ode to Newfoundland". Just 25 seconds later,Clubber found the back of the net and the MACHINE never looked back.It wasn't much of a championship game because the MACHINE were so dominant as they have been all year. My heart goes out to Lukey who was hung out to dry all day. On the other side of the coin, the Frape was at his best giving up just one goal [the 2nd one never did cross the line]. I have to say that the atmosphere in the MACHINE'S dressing room was second to none all year. Never was there any bickering or blaming anyone for anything. It was truly an enjoyalbe squad to be around. We may have had the oldest team but the experience paid off in the end. So to the Capelin and all the other unfortunates, I warned you all year that the Machine were on a mission and if I do say so myself,"mission accomplished". I'd like to thank our sponsor, Gary Sully, our bus driver Frank Sully, and our executive for making yesterday a true Super Saturday. It was a blast with no complaints. Hopefully we'll get the only surving rec league of the shore off the ground next year again. If anyone has pics from yesterday please email me @ alfieswain@hotmail.com. In signing off ,all I gotta say is
GREEN MACHINE RULES BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
