BERN YOU SHOULD CHECK THE CARS BEFORE THEY RACE OR YOUR GOING TO BE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS THE PEOPLE WHO RAN THE DERBY IN GANDER.CHECK FOR FIRE ESTINGUSERS, ROLL CAGES, SEAT BELTS, AND REINFORCEMENT TO THE MINI STOCKS WHICH IS A NO NO.

One thing that absolutely, positively should be mandatory is that all drivers wear full fire suits! Why they are not mandatory at Avondale boggles my mind! What would happen if a car flips upside down with the driver trapped inside and/or knocked unconscious? It takes at least a bit of time for safety vehicles to arrive and put the extinguishers to work! A fire suit can at least buy the driver some time! I was looking at the photos, and in alot of them the drivers are wearing regular clothes, and you gotta figure that alot of times their clothing has grease and maybe even gas on it! Just something to think about, though it should be a no-brainer!

I didn't mean to downplay the safety features pointed out by "DRIVER"! All of these safety features and rules(including fire suits) should be strictly enforced!

Yes i agree, there should be more of a safety presense at the track, but they should start off with the easiest things like fire extinguishers that work and are not taped to the roll cage.
Roll cages that are made with something a little stronger that exhaust pipe, as well as proper gas tanks in the right location or fuel cells.
The cars should be inspected a lot better than they are.

Yes, and top it all off with fire suits being made mandatory! Helmets with full facial protection should also be mandatory, if they're not already!

Whoever talking exhaust pipe sounds like a trouble maker. I've been there 4 years and never seen it used other than in a bumper.

I can't believe that no one has responded to my comments on fire suits! I agree that all the other safety features are very important, some maybe even more so than a suit, but you would never get me in any type of race car without one! Hopefully drivers are listening to what I say without commenting!

If you haven't seen exhaust pipe used as a roll cage you haven't looked at many cars out there the stickers are still on it. I do agree with the fire suits, the lack of a fire truck makes them even more needed.

Stickers on exhaust pipe sounds as stupid as no fire truck because it's not painted Red.

Have it your way! Remember what I said about a car being upside down on fire with the driver trapped inside? Well, it's people who think like you who the fans will witness becoming extra crispy before their eyes! Who will be the dick head then? Reider, I(and you) have more fans then the all the presidential candidates combined!

I agree with you chosen one. Every driver should have a fireproof full face racing helmet, suit, gloves, and shoes.
