| If the so called dirt track stays the way it has been for the past several years and the rules or so called rules are not followed the same way they haven't been for the last # of years, then there aren't going to be anyone to race or anyone to watch what little races there are. Enforce the rules and fix the track it's more like off road racing than stock car racing.

| One of the first things I noticed when I checked out this website a few years back is that almost every driver doesn't wear any type of fire suit! For any driver about to race, fire suits are no-brainers! Better seat belts too, so you won't get drivers flying out of their cars again like that guy a while back! A solid set of race rules and safety rules need to be put in place and enforced! Geez, I'm starting to sound like Prophie! But the person who posted here is right though, there needs to be rules but in place!

| As for the track, it wouldn't take much to improve it, just a few dump truck loads of new clay!

| if it cant be fixed with a wheel barrell and a rake you can forget it.as for the rules they change every week at avs thats what makes it interesting.you showup to watch because u know anything could happen.just like C1 mentioned a guy coming out of the windshield fights in the pits an on the track just an average day at avs.dirt or pavement whatever way they go maybe its about time to let the teams know so they can start to get ready may is not that far away.

| All that stuff you say makes sense, but I can't understand why the drivers don't wear fire protection! All it takes is for a car to flip upside down with the driver trapped unconscious inside, then catch on fire, especially if the fire crew(if there is one) can't get there right away! I don't think there's anybody who wants to see that! In all likelyhood, that would mean bye-bye speedway! There'd be lawsuits, investigations, inquests etc! Making the drivers wear fire suits wouldn't take away from the excitment or unpredictability of the races, just make them a little safer! I know I don't attend races there, but if nothing else, I just wish that's one rule they'd put in place! Personally, I wouldn't even consider getting behind the wheel of any racecar without a fire suit! Even if the owner doesn't make them mandatory, the drivers can take it upon themselves!
