| I would just like to say that Wednesday will be my last game that I coach my daughter in basketball. I have been involved 11 years now with the league between my son and daughter. I still get a kick out of watching video of my little 10yr old running around on the court. He is 17 and drives now. People, it goes by way too fast...
The league is in good shape and has a bright future. I recommend, like with all leagues, that young people get recruited to coach and volunteer as eboard members. It is the only way our rec. programs can turn over without a hitch.
We are seeing it with our softball program. New coaches are getting involved and our eboard has added new faces. I saw it with the baseball program when I was involved there.
The basketball program is the largest by far in the area and it seems to run pretty smoothly.
I give credit to all of the parents who took over our rec. program and made it what it is today. John Galvin saved out program and all of the parents stepped up and volunteered to keep it going.. The people who are running the league now, are good people, and should be applauded for their time and effort.. Good Luck next year. It's been a blast!! Dave Chesney
