Each week you pick one team to win straight up. If the team you picked wins, you move on. If the team you picked loses or ends in a tie, you are out. You can only pick a team once. The last player remaining wins the entire prize pool. If multiple players somehow correctly pick all 17 weeks, the tiebreaker will be a guess of total points scored in the Super Bowl. If there is still a tie (practically impossible), the remaining players split the pot.
Picks must be submitted by 3:00 pm Saturday Eastern Time. To submit a pick, you may simply email your winning team for the week to chrisdenha@hotmail.com. If you are picking a game that is on a Thursday or Saturday the picks must be in 1 hour before game time. On Sunday I will post everyone's pick on the website (after you join we will share the web address with you).
If you do not submit or email your pick to me by the deadline, mistakenly pick more than one team and don't correct it by the deadline, or submit an illegal pick, your choice for that week will be the highest team from that week a) you have not yet picked and b) is playing that Sunday or Monday. There are no exceptions your pick must be in by the deadline, or you get the default pick! For example, if it's Sunday at 2:30 pm and you haven't picked yet, you cannot choose a 4pm game that hasn't started yet you get the default pick. Similarly, it's 11:05 am and you want to pick a game starting at 1 pm, it doesn't matter you get the default pick.
If at the end of a week all remaining players are eliminated, those players will tie for 1st place and split the prize pool.
If this goes to week 17 and there are still people left, I will contact the remaining players and have them submit a guess of total points scored in the Super Bowl. Guesses will be kept secret until Super Bowl Sunday.
