| have u gone over the edge or what little buddy?your right it has been very quite on here lately.what is all the talk about big georges getting suspended never seen any hockey the weekend was working.give us your opinion was it a bad hit or what?

| GONE over the edge? NEWSFLASH! I've BEEN over the edge for longer than I can remember! I just found out that Laraque got suspended 5 games for his TRIP on Kromwall! Yes, I say "trip" because that's exactly what it was! I'm not just saying that because I'm a Habs fan, because if I thought it was dirty I'd say so, regardless of which team he plays for! All Georges did was stick out his leg and trip him! It sure didn't appear as though he tried to go knee on knee, because if he did, he would've done much more damage to his own kneee than Kromwall's! He got a tripping penalty(well deserved) on the play, and it should've been left at that! It's too bad Kromwall's gonna be out a while, but shit happens! As far as I'm concerned, he got suspended for being Georges Laraque, as players of his type tend not to be cut much slack from the league! I'm no fan of Don Cherry, but did anybody see one of his "Coach's Corner" shows from earlier this season, the one in which he showed a video montage of Ovechkin hitting players from behind and stuff? How many times did HE get suspended for any of them? What about Ov's knee on knee hit on Gonchar in the playoffs last year? Gee, did he ever get suspended a long time for THAT! Did he even get a penalty? Don't get me wrong, I like Ovechkin and I like the way he plays most of the time, but guys like him and guys like Crosby could take a 50-foot run from behind and put somebody in the 20th row and would get little more than a slap on the wrist!

| I remember telling friends and stuff about 10 years ago that it would be kinda neat and somewhat funny to see someone pick up a 5 minute tripping penalty! Well, about 2 years after that in a local Jr game I got to see that happen! Now, we're seeing players get 5 GAMES for tripping! I think we are witnessing the begining of what Mike Milbury calls the "wussification of the NHL"! What's next, 10 games for an intentional offside?

| I was wrong! It wasn't "wussification" that Milbury said, it was "pansification"! Same thing though, right Mr/Mrs goon? Only a Hab-hater or a total wuss would make a comment like yours!
