Jan 31st in San Diego

We want to fly out late Friday and fly back late Sunday or early Monday

Each of you is responsible for flights and spending money. Part of the hotel and the vans are being taken care of by the guy hosting the tourney.

They are waiving the entry fee for the tourney and kicking in $750.00 to take care of the rooms and vans.

If you have any questions post them and I will try to answer them for you.

We are asking anyone that wants to come to go to Sylvan Lanes and drop off a $200 deposit to hold your spot. Dropping off the money does not get you a spot on the roster it simply lets us know you are serious about going. We are restricted to a 12 man roster, so we want to take the 12 best guys out to represent Detroit.

It’s a 6 team tourney all Chaldeans from around the SD area and I believe they have a team coming in from AZ too.

If we get enough guys to drop off money to the Lanes by this coming Wednesday, we will register. If not, I will let them know that Detroit Chaldeans have no heart and we won't go.

If you drop off the $200 and you are not part of the 12 man roster, you will get your money back with 12% compounded interest.
If you drop off the $200 and decide last minute you can’t go, we will use the $200 to help pay for someone else to come. The flight will cost a little more and the $200 will help.

The biggest thing is that we don’t want to go out there shorthanded and make fools of ourselves. I am ignorant enough to think we can play with 5 guys and win the thing, but common sense tells me we are going to need at least 6!

Sorry to say I'm not going to be able to make the trip to SD. Something work related came up and there is no way out of it.

"One Monkey doesn't stop the show"

With that said, we have a tournament to WIN!

Sean, you said you had a place to rent a couple cars for the 3 days. We need to make the reservation in someone’s name. Does the person need to be a certain age?
Let me know if you got this Sean.
We are getting 4 rooms with 2 queen size beds per room. If anyone is not cool with it let me know and you can get your own room. If you are planning on staying with relatives, that’s cool too.
Either way let me know on that.

The rooms are going to be $109.00 per night plus tax. We will have all 4 rooms from Friday at noon until Monday at noon.
I need everyone to post what time they fly in and what time they fly out on the site.

Natham and Tony are the team captains and will be calling the shots.

Tony has the D and Nate has the O
Playing time is not guaranteed but I feel like everyone will get to play at least one way.

We need to submit a roster and sign waivers this week.
Anthony Acho, I need to give the color of our jerseys. Can you post the color for me please?

So far I have
Nate Captain
Tony Captain
Anthony A
Sean M
Fadi
Dylan
Jordan
Danny S
Joey F
Lance S
Chris S
Mark H
Timmy Abbo lives there
Am I missing anyone that is booked or confirmed?

Rule posted below. Some of the rules are very girly but I guess that’s how the West coast roles

If the rules or terms outlined above changes anyone’s mind about going please let me know by posting your concerns or that fact that you don’t want to go anymore.

Thanks

Hi Guys,
This is Tim Abbo.

I want to thank everyone that is coming down to this tourney along with Anthony and Nathen for helping me getting you guys down here.

I currently live in SD and am very sick of all these Cali guys thinking they are the best Chaldean athletes in the world.

I am looking very forward to you guys coming down here and us showing these guys that our organized Detroit league and skilled players can shut theyre tourney down.

It is a very fun tournement with a lot of good talent down here.

We are aloud 14 spots on the roster.

Ya the rules Suck, but i do have writing from them that WHEN we beat them at theyre own rules that we can change the rules for next year and years to come.

I did get them to kickin $750 to help out with hotel and car accomidations.
They are also waiving the $500 entry fee that all of the other teams have to pay which covers the day of event, field, refs, food and drinks.

Please keep in mind that this is a charity event with all additional proceeds going to St Peters church which is our church down here.

With all that said,
Anthony said it correct " We have a job To Do "
So lets WIN this Mother!!!

Please get me an XL shirt with #68 on it.

If anyone needs anything from me or has any questions that need to be answered.
Please let me know

Thanks,
Tim Abbo

a few things:

i wish i could make it out there, san diego is the best city ever, but work is keeping me. make a run downtown to the ivy or stingarees, but pass on tjtrust me. nate, tony or ocho if you need any contacts down there for anything, you know how to reach me.

i know this team will represent the cfl well under the leadership of nate dogg and tony west 'via the east' side tony. the rules are complete arrrrah, but our cousins in sd do things their own way you'll figure this out soon enough. timmy abbo will fill in the blanks.

unfortunately, shenandoah is booked every saturday for the next 10 weeks 9am to 7pm you will need to find an alternate place to practice. with bob not being there, you should have no excuse waking up early and getting to the field for practice.

you 14 represent the 60 here. have fun but take them seriously. it is a church sponsored event-so try to keep the vulgarity down as much as possible. put it to 'em and show them what the cfl is made of shuck.

Congrats to team camel on bringing home the championship from San Diego!!!!

We proved we were the better team on every play, I can’t think of a single player or even play in the game that we didn’t go 100%. We dominated those games and everyone at that field, player, parent, cousin, sister, brother, and even the referees knew that team camel is the real deal. The hype and the camaraderie we had as a team all weekend really made this trip enjoyable for me. We did everything together as a team or even as a family went out, strategized, played hard and won together. They really had no chance!!!

Acho great games baby, I think you made every play out there you needed to, especially locking up that #2 from black in the champ game. Most catches for the day for a reason.

Jordan you’ve always been the showstopper but you’ve added so much more to your game lately that has made you so much better. I think you had like 8 sacks, 4 safeties, 3-4 touchdowns, and a partridge in a pear tree. You needed to step it up and you really did.

Fadi great blocking all day brother. That one sweep right where you literally laid out 3 players, 2 fans, and I think a few chairs was sick….sick!!!!! No one touched me all day in that tourney.

Dylan you are an animal for real. You know you are a sick player when a dad has to come out on the field to yell at you to stop knocking all the player down. You might as well open up an IHOP with all those pancakes you lay on the field.

Cris how fast are you really?! Having you in the backfield running, blocking, play action, flaring and running routes your were the most dynamic player we had this weekend. We needed you to mix it up and keep their D guessing all day on what we were going to do.

Tony can you say tippy toes? That catch you had in the endzone on 4th down to put us 3 scores ahead was unreal. You made big play on O and more importantly called the best D possible. No one out there could move the ball on us all day, good shit calling that D.

Mark way to come out on the field and give it 100% every play. You’re the definition of a team player and that goes a long way. You’re a very under-rated player but that’s good for team yellow.

Chewy way to come out there and be the beast rusher that we all know you are. Great pressure on the qb, especially when we sent you up the middle and you had to go through 2 sometimes 3 guys. Defense is all about the Dline pressure and you delivered.

Lance great plays on D out there. You know where you need to be out there and makes all the difference. Big bat down on 4th down in the endzone, they score there and it’s a different ball game.

Danny you played that middle linebacker position like the veteran that you are. Got a very big pick for us that sealed that deal for us.

Tim abbo way to make plays when your number was called. The best thing you did for us was insist on a full practice. With all the rule changes they have out there we wouldn’t have been as successful without you.

Shaun way to have a broken ankle!!!!!! Im glad you still came and were involved, way to say part of the team.

Marv and Dino I appreciate you coming out and supporting the team like you guys did. You guys are officially part of team camel. Marv next time I want a sac out of you or you’re doing ten push ups. SHE… TALKS… TOO MUCH! LMAO

Nate all I have to say about you is C’mon buddy. LMAO I’ve been laughing about that one since it happened.

Doing great things result in more great things…. Thanks to the men that started the CFL 30 years ago to give us what we have today.

For those of you that don’t already know you can go to wilsonsarkisphotography.com/main to view the photos from this weekend. Click on imagequix and type in your email and a password.
