To all of our dear friends and family,

We would like to invite you to join us in thanks and mourning of our baby Hope. There are so many people who have been praying for our family and for Hope these past months and we would like the opportunity to express our sincere appreciation and thanks. We hope to take a moment to share with you the miracle of our sweet baby girl and of God’s goodness during such tough times as these.

Much love,
Grover and Colleen Swick

Dear Friends,

The meaning of Hope’s name changed Friday morning. The name was such a gift from God in the first place, representing out hope for our baby’s future, the hope we have in our LORD, Jesus Christ, and our hope in GOD’s plan for our future. As little Hope went from our care to GOD’s, the meaning of her name transformed to mean a future HOPE for all those who believe, all those who accept Christ and GOD’s amazing plan for redemption…..and we look forward with anticipation to that day when we will hear her beautiful voice again.

The amazing prayer support and love that is being poured out for us and has been poured out for us is so abundant that it is tangible. God has blessed us so much with the gift of so many wonderful people we treasure so dearly. People who have allowed God to bless us “in the flesh”, and through their kindness, to experience the love he has for each of us. For this, we are truly thankful.

We pray for God’s special blessing on each one of your lives. May God bless your family and household. May God’s provision for your daily needs overflow in such abundance to cause all those who know you to be amazed. May you walk in the path God has prepared before you, turning neither to the right or the left, but into the good places he has prepared for you in this life, and ultimately to eternity, to the inheritance that is yours through salvation. May you have comfort and many loving friends to lean on in the hard times. For those friends who God is so clearly at work in your lives, whose kindness is such a gift, yet are still holding back from Christ, we pray for the acceptance of God’s free gift of salvation as our heart is to welcome you to the wonderful richness and security God offers.

We pray also that God would bless the amazing staff at Huntington Hospital. The sensitive dignity which we were treated with through every step along this difficult journey was a godsend. From the anesthesiologist, to the N.I.C.U team, from Dr. Jick, our attending obstetrician, to our nurses in both recovery and maternity, you have all been such a blessing to us. We pray God would bless each and every one of you so abundantly that it would overflow into the lives of everyone you know. May God bless the work of Dr. Miller and the USC Maternal-Fetal Institute and the work they do there. We pray the number of lives they save would be increased exponentially. May God bless Irene, our case manager and friend. We wish everyone had someone like you to be an advocate in such tough times. May God make every day like a gift to you and enable you to unwrap it with renewed joy each day. Thank you all for everything you did for Hope. Thank you for your valiant attempts to afford us the possibility of raising her. We acknowledge that Hope was never ours to begin with, but God’s and as such, his to call home. We pray that God blesses you abundantly in your lives as you have been such a blessing to us.

Hearing Hope’s brief cry was an incredible gift, which we treasure.

With much love,
Grover and Colleen Swick
