| ??? Nothing has changed, the woodbat remains an option for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday leagues. Teams just need to write "WOODBAT" on the registration sheet.

| I have no idea what that means. It sounds like it's only an option for the guys and not mandatory????

| Some teams would rather play woodbat rules and others would not. Placing "woodbat" on your team registration would identify you as a team that wants to play in a woodbat league. If we have enough for a league, then we would run a woodbat league. We would discuss specific rules at the manager's meeting on March 15.

| Happy, good question. I am going to do everything possible to make it happen, but if I can't then I'll do whatever you want: refund, switch to other league, lifetime subscription to Victorvillesports Amazing Tweets Illustrated...

| The teams that wont do woodbat are afraid of being exposed as frauds. The unlimited arc crap at eva dell needs to go either way though.

| Our manager signed up for Friday coed on Monday and the ladies had no idea what he was talking about when he asked, where do I put wood bat league. It was my understanding that he needed to put wood bat league at the bottom of the paperwork. Any idea what happened to this information?

| I wrote it in big letters on the form you turn in when paying. WOOD BAT LEAGUE. If you didn't do this, you might want to email Dave.
Also- Thanks to the team that played us w/ wood bats and 6-10 limited arc last Thursday. That was a lot of fun. No home runs but a lot of fun!

| Thats almost not fair to say people will be exposed. I do not use an altered bat and have spent a little money on these bats. I agree the arc is no fun anymore and should be changed. Not all are cheating.

| I think the major point is that eva dell is not a good park for use with composite bats regardless of whether they are altered or not. The field is just plain-too small. With a flat pitch and little tiny field there are going to be balls flying over the fence all the time and infielders getting hurt. The wood bat will help keep games at eva dell safe and give all teams an even playing field as far as equipment goes. The high pitch does not help anyone (except maybe my team). But we would rather have the flat pitch as practice for tourney's. Batters will have to learn to hit holes and swing level because only a few are going to hit it out of eva dell with wood. ps. i will be one of them

| It was just a lot of fun when we tried it. Still a hitters game and still plenty of other places and nights to use composite- but man, we had a blast. Lots more opportunity to make plays that involve more than one player. Lots more respect given for great hits- even ones that a play was made on. Try it before you deny it. The limit arc was great too- you still need a good pitch though so don't get sloppy!
Note to Eva Dell Power - will you be the first though? That's what I want to know. Who will be first. I'm just trying to get a good pitch and hit it level and hard. Hitting it over w/ wood in a game would be amazing though- even just to see it.

| motengater- you might try showing up on the first night of games w/ your gear. There is usually at least 1 team that ends up 1 or 2 players short on the 1st night. I've gotten picked up on a couple of teams that way.
