*Please stay tuned for a Dr.Troise plug from coach.
"Destructive gale winds" - This is a new one. I liked the "exploding" one better from the last storm.

Man killed by falling branch in Central Park Comments: 9 By MURRAY WEISS Last Updated: 5:58 PM, February 25, 2010 Posted: 4:01 PM, February 25, 2010 PRINT EMAIL SHARE RSS A man was killed during this afternoon's blizzard when a branch landed on his head as he walked through a section of Central Park, police said. The man, 56, was struck by the large, snow-laden branch at 3:26 p.m. while he walked along a part of the park known as "Literary Walk" at 67th Street near Fifth Avenue. "Literary Walk" is a large walkway lined with large trees that features statues of famous authors, playwrights and poets, including William Shakespeare, Sir Walter Scott and Robert Burns. NO SNOW DAY FRIDAY FOR NYC SCHOOLS The pedestrian mall, famous with New Yorkers and tourists alike, culminates in the Olmsted Flower Bed. The area is the only tribute to the park's architect, Frederick Law Olmsted, that is located inside Central Park.
AFP/GETTY IMAGES People stroll through Central Park hours before a tree branch fell and struck a man in the head, killing him.
A witness called 911, but the man was dead by the time cops arrived to that part of the park. The city has been slammed with heavy snow and window since this morning, with as much as 12 inches expected to fall by the time the storm ends, according to forecasters. Last July, a Google employee who was listening to his iPod was injured after a rotting branch snapped off a tree in Central Park and smashed him in the head. Sasha Blair-Goldensohn, 33, was walking to work through Central Park near West 63rd Street when a 100-pound limb came crashing down on him, leaving him in a coma for days. In December, his wife, Rebecca Min, accused the city and the Central Park Conservancy in a $120 million of failing to properly inspect or prune park trees, saying her husband never fully recovered from the accident.

| I'm very disappointed with the lack of a weather advisory today. I left the house in Bermuda shorts and a tank top only to experience more winter madness. Had I known before I go'ed, this could have been avoided. I'm switching back to News 12 for all my weather advisory needs.

| This is terrible. We only alert the masses towards potentially catastophic storms. CCD is still in awe over the 7 feet of snow that fell up north and has webcam still shots to prove it. That webcam can be accessed under special request, although it has been quirky the past week since the snow height is higher than the satellite dish on the roof.
