| The first game of the 7/8th grade girls playoffs turned into a thriller last night, with the Sparks defeating the Storm 55-51 in overtime. At the end of regulation the Storm hit a basket at the buzzer to force OT. The championship game on Friday night at 6:30 matches up the Storm against the Liberty. It will be the last Rec game for a special group of eighth-graders who played in the league since they were in first grade (some even in kindergarten). These girls also played a lot of travel ball for Colonia in the last four years and improved tremendously in that time. Five eighth-graders on the Storm finished up their Rec careers last night. Good luck to both teams in the final! ... Also, on Saturday at 2:30 the Mystics take on the Sparks in the 5/6th grade championship game. The games in that division have been competitive all season and the final should be no different. Coach Haley
