| Mid-Season Report Cards Are In!!!!!
Man that went by fast. We’re half way to the playoffs and there is a lot to talk about-
RED 1-4 (Coach Anthony “yup, he went through with it” Toma)- This squad is a far cry from what Anthony selected on draft day. After being rocked by the sudden departure of Anthony Acho two days before the season started, Red has been a work in progress ever since. Several things have contributed to the poor start including a QB that doesn’t show up sometimes, injuries, and overall inconsistency in the lineups due to roster restructuring. Things were looking up after an impressive win over Green and a favorable trade to land Nolan Karrumi, but high hopes were dashed when Akrawi called from Chicago at 2:00 the morning to inform his coach that he wasn’t showing for week 5 followed by a first half injury to Karrumi. The good news for Red is that they are only one game out of a playoff spot… and we all know anything can happen in the playoffs. The key for Red is going to be the presence (literally the physical presence) of Akrawi. Joey Kejbou has been solid but Red needs production elsewhere to have any chance. Get well Nolan!! GRADE: D-
YELLOW 2-3 (Coach Hatham Karrumi)- It is no secret that Yellow has underachieved this season. The biggest factor has been the overall disinterest of QB Nate Karrumi. There is speculation that he still hasn’t recovered from Tarik taking Nick Ammori in the 4th round. That draft pick seemed to set off a dark period for Nate as he has not forgiven the other coaches for “letting that happen” (lol). Despite his below average (for him) play and terrible attitude, he has been solid as a GM unloading Joey Kejbou (who he secretly hates) for gamebreaker Sean Mattia and superman Ray Dawood. Tyson Yono has been dominant in every game he’s played in, and Peter Namou has been a nice surprise. Yellow’s roster is loaded and will be better when Dawood returns freakishly early from a torn Achilles. And there is still a LONG way till the playoffs. One thing you can count on in this league is that Karrumi will be his usual dominant self when it matters most. GRADE: C
WHITE 4-1 (Coach Joey “has been” Jonna)- Despite being 4-1 heading into the break, nothing has come easy for TEAM White. White has come from behind in the 4th quarter in 3 of their 4 wins. The offense has been inconsistent at times, but the defense has been solid thanks to consistent play of Jordan Rassam, Tim Acho, and Mohawk every single week. On offense, rookie Mike Sesi has made several electrifying catches and scored at least once in every game. White will have a tough time without #1 WR/ CB Tim Acho for the next couple of weeks, but no doubt everyone else will step up, especially Lance Samona who will be filling in at WR. GRADE: B
BLUE 1-4 (Coach Chris “I think everyone on my team hates me” Zeer)- The bad news is that they are 1-4 and neither of the top two draft picks are on the roster anymore. The good news is that they added the face of the CFL- NICK AMMORI!! Nick has the best winning percentage of anyone in the last three years and will be looking to help turn this team around. Nick will also give Blue instant Message Board credibility, as he has come out of left field as the #1 blogger. Dani Jajou and Maz Sheker have been consistent for Blue all year. Nick will likely be handling the middle linebacker void left by Norm Yono. Nick also enjoys basketball. Derek Putrus will be an upgrade on both the offensive and defensive lines. Nick has basically declared the end of his friendship with Nate Karrumi due to Karrumi’s unwillingness to trade for him. Nick thinks Joey Kejbou is a pussy. Nick also thinks Tony sucks and AT is washed up. According to Nate, Chris should give his team to Nick. Nick’s other interests include the Cover 2 Special and pacha around the holidays. Chris has time to turn it around and a fully revamped roster to battle their way back into playoff contention. He’s not going to win GM of the year this season, but he sits only one game out of the playoffs. Stranger things have happened. GRADE: D
GREEN 2-3 (Coach Tony “trade machine” Attisha)- I’m not 100% certain who’s actually on Tony’s team at this point because he could have made five more trades since I started writing this. But there are a few things we know for sure… we know that Tony is having his worst offensive season ever (except the Purple debacle), we know that Green’s D has given up the fewest points of any team thus far, and we know that rookie Anthony Yaldo has been exceptional so far. Mike Zeer is currently the QB and had a very solid first outing. They aren’t going to need much on offense to be competitive cause the defense is so stingy. But they’ll need Tony to step up and make plays if they are going to make any noise. Once he’s no longer able to trade, his team can finally relax and get in a groove. Green is an OT loss to Black and a last second loss to White away from being 4-1, despite setting the single season trade record. GRADE: C (Tony would like to trade his C for a C-, any takers?)
BLACK 5-0 (Coach Tarik “I have the best fans, BY FAR” Kama)- Black has put it all together this year with the league’s best offense, an opportunistic defense, and clutch play all around. Tarik has been lethal on offense and is the league MVP at this point. JP, who was traded then re-acquired (wow, awkward) has been phenomenal on both sides of the ball and Shuck has been shuckin’ solid. Rookie Derek Rabban has been solid on D and contributed on offense when called on. The Animal has been fierce on D and a consistent threat on offense every game. Black has won by a wide margin and won close ones. They have been the class of the league so far and they have an undefeated record to show for it. But it’s a lot easier to get to the top than to stay there… which is why Tarik went out and traded for Norm who will add a whole new element of speed and power to their arsenal. GM of the year for sure. And fan base of the year for sure. The fact that they might run on the field and stab someone if Black loses adds a whole new level of excitement to the game. GRADE: A+
Sunday marks the beginning of the stretch run and everything important happens from here on out. This is where Champs step up and losers move out of the way. We’re halfway through the season and we have six out of six teams in the playoff hunt. Who wants it the most?!?!?

| Nick we need to give you your own team one day just to see the look on the faces of the nine guys you pick.
This is how Nick would have his team huddle.

| AT, I ran into some guy at the bar last night. He said that he plays on your team, but never shows up. His name is Toby. I told him that you need all the help that you can get and that he should show up since you never have more then 8 guys each sunday. He asked when your game was and then said that he will show up. Just wanted to let you know so that you are not put in a bad position tomorrow.
