| Pre Season Trade Machine
Tony Attisha made 47 trades before the week six deadline, and thus far, the first year coach of team Green is looking like a genius. He lost players to injuries, traded away a semi-pro quarterback, let Justin Orow play QB for a few weeks and then pulled the trade of the year in acquiring crafty veteran and klawat master Mike Zeer. Zeer has shown he can handle the pressure in driving the offense down the field, finding targets Orow, Attisha and speedy rookie Anthony Yaldo.
Zeer looks comfortable behind center and the last time Green and White met in week eight, Green won 13-7 in OT. Green has made plays when they needed to, and despite coming in as the fourth seed, they certainly proved their worth beating number one seeded Black in round one.
Joey Jonna, head coach of team White, had retired in 2007. It wasn’t possible to play again. The doctors told him his back was in no condition for golf, forget football. The retirement announcement was sad. We came in the league the same year and had some epic battles I felt bad for my friend, and more, I felt bad for the CFL.
Don’t Call it a Comeback
Jonna has been playing with what appears to be a chip on his shoulder all season. He drafted Jordan Rassam with his first pick to the shock of many throughout the league. He backed that up with Rookie of the Year Mike Sesi, who has caught everything thrown his way. His primary targets have been Timmy Acho and Nick Hermiz, who are both playmakers at their respective positions on the field. Jonna is looking better than the Jonna of old, and his team is feeding off his leadership and drive.
Quarterback Breakdown
Green
It is unmatched for a team in the Chy Cup Championship Game to have rotated at the quarterback position like Green has, but credit Attisha’s direction and Zeer’s experience. Zeer has done a great job managing the game, and will not be hesitating Saturday night. He will find Attisha, Orow, Yaldo and his center Danny Shaba when it counts. I think he is also a few bad plays from a tough battle with White's defense and line of Rassam and Chris Denha. I expect a few miscues, but look for Zeer to play cautious ball, thus limiting mistakes.
White
Jonna will keep it simple as he always has. We know what to expect from his game, but for Green, their job will be to limit his drives and close gaps on the deep ball. I expect to see passes to Acho, Hermiz and Sesi, but also look for Jonna to find Rassam on a lineman release or his center either Branden Yono or Nelson Brikho on crossing routes.
Who Wants Some Chy?
Jonna’s got years of experience playing and coaching in the Chy Cup Championship Game. Also, they have had a regular quarterback all season long, while Green has just recently gotten comfortable with Zeer calling the plays. I give White an advantage just based on that alone. However, all the pressure is also on White. They are a better team on paper, but games are not won on paper, they are won on the battlefield.
The winner of this game will limit penalties, turnovers and pull flags. The game is that simple. The only question will be, who wants it more?

| Before last year, the best drink I've had out of a kettle was tea, boiled outside, on a charcoal grill, with a little hail in it.
It tastes like piss compared to drinking out of the Chy Cup!!
I can't wait to drink out of it again!!!!
Let's Go GREEN!!!

We need a Chai Cup preview. I would write one but I think everyone is sick about hearing how Red got fucked over this year.
Let me know if you can do one D, if not I will tell the story about draft night and balancing the league with supplemental picks. I'll take time to discuss what matchups would have been and how the other team would have tried, to no avail to contain Red’s killer offense with AA at the helm. Then I will talk about what teams would have done to score the first points of the year on Red’s defense made up of Derek Putrus and Joey F at rushers, with AT and Matt Shango at LB and AA, Sean and Pete behind us.
But once again the so called curse of “Anthony Toma” kicked in and Iraq came calling? Really? Iraq?
NICE!
I hope Green kicks Whites ass all over the field in the first half and then White comes back and murders Green in the second half and they have to go into overtime and the games lasts 40 days and 40 nights until both team give up and name Red the 2010 Chai Cup champions!
Go Red! Party at Sylvan Lanes!
