| have been to harbour grace for hockey on many occasions the fans are die hard fans they support there team very loyaly.its all right to have some fun teasing and taunting the opposition but it should stay classy not get carried away.wasnt at the game to see what happened.its to bad because it gives all fans players and a very good league a black eye.cant wait for the playof matchup betwween the cee bees and blades it should be good series if it happens.should be a good herder final with the winner facing who ever comes out of the wcshl.see you there

| i can tell you a few stories when mainlandrs wouldnt even get on the ice to play our teams they were scared to death.barrie flyers were one of them.now they were bush league.started a brawl wouldnt come back out to finish the game.most of the guys on the flyers were ex pros and nhl players they ran away like chickens thst day.althought the flyers won the series in 5 games they didnt set out to do what they said they were going to do.teach us a thing or 2 about hockey.

| I was only having a "little fun", you know, trying to get people's "goat"! You know reider, like you and others try to do with me on various topics, especially you with the Habs! I don't know when that series with Barrie happened and I wasn't there when it did, but I'd say winning a series in five games would certainly be showing a team a thing or two about hockey! I'm sure if I talked to someone from Barrie, they'd say that the team they were playing were the ones that started the brawl!

| they said we would be luck to score a goal let alone win a game.it was in the early 70's.it was ateam of local amatures playing a team of pros and ex nhl players and they won a game.was a guy on the st johns caps named bobby lambert (knobby) very tough and he could fight he wore number 3.in game 1 cant remeber the guys name on barrie but he was a goon suppose to look after knobby.he hits knobby from behind breaking knobbies nose he cant finish the game.next day as they are itroducing the players the flyers are lined up on there blue line laughing having fun you should have seen there faces and expressions change when they announced knobby.you know what happened after that a brawl that lasted at least half an hour i seen many a brawl but never anything like that.i actually got afraid i was only a boy i thought for sure someone was going to be killed.it was the only game the caps won.from then on the nl teams had to go to ontario for the allan cup playoffs.they would not come here.caps were suppose to have home ice agaist flamboro clamatos so the story goes but they wouldnt come here.flamboro in 6 games i think it was they both had strong teams with former pros i both lineups.don edwards in net rocky sagimuk former leaf stan johnathon.to bad it would have been good to watch.but had to settle for listning on the radio.
