Will there be any racing this summer? Any new seires? Might have to seriously look at adding go karts. May stir up alot of interest. But then again interestt and seriousness are two different things.

This pains me a great deal to say this, as everyone knows my stance when it comes to paved tracks vs dirt tracks! However, in the case of Avondale, I'm starting to think that paving the track would perhaps improve the races! I would also like to say that no, I don't attend the races there, and I base all my information on stuff that I read from the many messages posted on here, and have done so for years! The reason I say it might be better paved is that it doesn't appear as though the owner knows how to look after a dirt track! I mean, there's always talk on here about all the rocks in the clay and the track being too muddy, that sort of thing! Pavement would be much easier to maintain! Also, with other paved tracks down east, could attract other drivers, perhaps even putting together some sort of series in co-operation with other tracks! Judging by the replies from alot of fans and drivers over the years, it doesn't look as though people will care if it's paved or dirt, as long as the racing is good! So, unless the owner can put more effort into improving the clay racing surface, as much as it pains me to say this, pavement may be the best option!

i definetly agree with chosen one as much as i liked the dirt racing pavement might be better i mean like cars will actually have a bit of grip on the track and you wont need so many tires to. it would be good to because mybe bishop falls and avondale could possible join together and form on e big pavement track that all the drivers could go to. or make a pavment track and a dirt track and put them right next to each other so there wouldnt be any problems for all the dirt track fans

not enough cars built for a pavement track at avondale.with both a 4cyl and a 8 cylinder division maybe there are 10 cars.59 weir 56 collins 30 hicks 99 walsh 3 coffin in the 8 cylinder class.in the 4 cylinder you would have 8 jason weir points champ from 4cylinder division at tvs. the 2 cars from trinty bay groves and critch and the 2 cars from the goulds guest and the beast if he returns his car is for sale.all great drivers but i dont think you could draw enough fans out to watch them to make it viable.who knows maybe some guys would take a stab at it.you are going to get rocks we live on a big rock.a little extra attention to the ruts in the corners wouldnt hurt.

From what I've heard on here many times, I'm guessing a new surface with new clay would be the way to go if they're gonna keep it dirt!

Yeah, you're always gonna get a certain amount of rocks and stones with a clay suface, but they can be kept to a minimum with a little bit of work!

Nothing is cheap these days! Well, maybe McDonald's value menu! Burger King has a different burger for 2 bucks each day! Subway has 5 different subs for 5 dollars! Other than that though, there's not much that's cheap!

Reider, wouldn't worry about the number of cars, there is hardly any decent cars racing at avondale anymore anyways. I think you would see a lot of new drivers and the return of many drivers who have had enough of avondale in its current state.

Rumor is track won't be paved this year, A certain someone is spending his money in central again. Current ownership will not be paying for asphalt. When/if avondale gets paved, it will be done right, TVS is just the learning ground.

It was just announced that Conception Bay won Hockeyville! The game I just heard will be an exhibition game between The Thrashers and Sens this fall! Any win for the Habs is big these days! Not out of the woods yet, but at they can start to see the clearing in the trees up ahead! The Jr B's lost in round one, the A's in round two! The A's did alot better than anyone expected this season! They went to the Royal Bank Cup last season, but lost 12 players off that team(including over 200 points), yet still finished third this year! Should get over half the team back for next year, including the top three scorers and both goalies....should be good next year! Don't worry, your Sabres will make it, but beating the Canes tomorrow will go a long ways to confirming that! I don't care who makes it, the Canes, Sabres or Rangers....as long as the Leafs don't!

I can't lie, I want the Sabres to make it in! I know you(a Sabres fan) don't like the Habs, but I've always liked Buffalo! The city has never had a champion in a major pro sport! To be honest, if the Habs or Canucks don't win the Cup, I wouldn't mind seeing the Sabres win it!

Maybe YOU would rather see the Leafs make it than the Rangers, but I sure wouldn't! I don't think you realize how much I dislike the Leafs! I don't know if you believe me when I tell you that I dislike the Leafs as much as you do the Habs, if not more so! I'm cheering like crazy for the Rangers right now, and will be doing the same for the Sabres later on!

That's another reason I would like to see the Canucks win....former Habs Lapierre and Higgins, not to mention former Habs coach Vigneault! They've always been my second favorite team anyway, but even more so now! I'd still cheer for the Habs, though!

Definately! A Sabres win would also push the Leafs to the brink and all but clinch a spot for the Habs! Oh yeah, it would be good for the Sabres, too!
