What: Chaldean Football League Playoff Games
Where: West Bloomfield High School
When: Sunday, October 14, 2012
Time: 9:00 am & 10:15 am

Game one will showcase Black, 8-2 led by Coach Tarik Kama, matching up against Green, 5-5 led by Coach Tony Attisha.

No surprise with this roster, Black has had another dominant regular season. All league brother tandem Derek and Dylan Putrus look to protect their quarterback Kama, in route to their second straight Chy Cup Championship appearance. Second year sensation Andrew Shango and master route runner John-Paul Namou will look to spread Green's defense and lead the way for Black. Also of note for Green is to account for the incomporable Karl Dallou who can provide magic for Black and entertainment for the sidelines. "I know shuck I know, in my opinion, to me, brashed baba he can't cover me. Huh? I'm telling you."

Green's season has been up and down to say the least. Starting the season 3-0 and looking to send out the ageless Russell G. Smith (pushing 50 but playing like 40) a champion the wheels came off when superstar Justin Orow broke his wrist in week five. Stepping up for Green has been the consistent play of Coach Attisha, speedy Anthony Yaldo and the leadership of lineman Sinan Abdal. Green hasn't been healthy in weeks, but if they can pull it together, should provide a challenge for Black.

Game two will feature Back-to-Back defending champion White, 7-3 led by Coach Joey Jonna, taking on Red, 7-3 led by Coach Anthony Toma.

White has been consistent and that is nothing new for head coach and quarterback Jonna. Jonna, arguably the best pocket passer in the league, has drafted well and challenged his current roster to step it up. Jonna has a an opportunity to strike CFL history if they can win the next two games. No team has ever won three Chy Cup's in a row. Star receiver Timmy Acho, tough pound for pound linebacker Nick Hermiz and all league lineman Jordan Rassam look to make history for Jonna and team White.

Red has something else in mind.

Head coach Anthony Toma knows everything is on the line. Toma, who hasn't missed a game due to an injury or vacation in 25 years, has never won the Chy Cup as a coach. He orchestrated a few creative trades during the season and now has a roster that looks like an all star team. Behind center, a healthy Chris Zeer will look to quarterback team Red to victory throwing to high leaping Pat Kinaya and Shenandoah basketball legend Stefan Kalabat. Veteran Joey Kejbou will be available to Zeer on important possessions and favorite guy ever Fadi Gulli will look to provide Zeer time to throw.

2012 was another fantastic year for the CFL. Dress warm this Sunday and come cheer your favorite team.

Also, we have ads available for our annual program booklet. Proceeds from the Championship game at 8:00 pm on October 20 will benefit the Chaldean Federation's Annual Scholarship Fund. Please contact me if you would like to advertise in our booklet. We expect over 300 guests this year.
