| we didnt win many games while i was a coach and that lies on the solely on me. I had a ton of fun playing with the guys that I drafted and traded for, it would have been nice to win more games. many of the players that were on my team did not like being on a losing team and I understand that. but whats gets me is how some of the younger aged players have the nerve to quit because they didnt get enough playing time or how they can disrespect the league itself by calling it garbage. I have been a proud member of the cfl for over ten years, and in that time I have slept in the car at the field to make the game on time lol drove from Chicago during rotations to make the games, and I have played with a torn ACL and meniscus ( not the best idea though). so when the younger guys talk how I compromised the integrity of the league by being a coach or making ill advised trades i take offense to it. I still had a great time and enjoyed my time as a coach, so good luck to all the teams in the playoffs and cant wait to see who the next cfl champ is !!!!
remember pissing me off is never a good idea lol

| Not that I didn't respect you before, but Nolan I think I've gained more respect for you this season than any other. I'm not usually one to get involved in these talks of "the league is garbage" and all the other nonsense that's gone on this season, but it's something that's bothered me all year. I have been part of the league 12 years now and I can't count the number of times this season I was disgusted with the number of guys who didn't show up because they weren't getting the PT they thought they were entitled to, or because they were on a losing team, or no showing on their team and/or worst of all not showing for some other BS reason.
This will be my first visit to the playoffs in 6 years, during that time I played on 2 red teams that won I think 4 games total and I coached a white team that went 2-8 but I never pouted to get traded, never no showed because we were losing and certainly never played anything less than 100% while I was on the field. I've seen guys like John Kattoula and Kevin Shunia wait years on the sideline for their opportunity to play and I commend those guys for their commitment. Jon Sesi went from the #1 seed to the number 6 seed in a trade and still showed up every week, played his ass off and even looked at it as an opportunity to increase his value with an opportunity to play offense. Just about every player that ended up on blue's roster deserves respect for showing up week after week and playing as hard as they did. Nolan and blue you didn't get a lot of W's this season, but for what it's worth you guys stood for something the entire league should be about:commitment, hard work and accountability. For those players and others similar to them, you're an asset to the league.
On the flip side, while I'll never say the league is garbage, I will say there is a drastic NEGATIVE difference between 12 years ago and the current attitudes, mentality and commitment (or lack thereof) by some of the individuals in the league. For as long as this league has gone on and for as long as it continues to be in existence, all of you keep in mind this league will only be as good as the individuals who participate in it. If you only get to play defense, then be thankful for the opportunity and make enough plays to earn consideration for offense if that's what you want. If you're only a reserve, show up and when your number is called go 100% and prove you belong as a regular roster player. I've had the good fortune of playing both ways my entire time in the league, I anticipate I'll be frustrated when the time comes that I'm only on a one way player like Tony Attisha (had to take a jab at somebody) but if/when it comes I'll do one of two things: 1) play that one way as hard as I've always played and try to be a difference maker on that side of the ball or 2) do my team/the league a courtesy and withdraw from the draft rather than show up with a piss poor attitude or not show at all after some coach has ruined their season drafting me.
For those of you who call the league garbage, ask what you've done to contribute to it lately. Before you make comments about a league that's been in existence longer than you've been alive, ask if your shitty attitude and mistaken sense of entitlement has contributed to your perspective and whether you're going to continue with the shitty attitude or come out and contribute to making the league better by changing your attitude. If you're going to continue with the piss poor attitude, do the league a favor and just don't play, we have 6 coaches and 60 guys in the league who don't want their season compromised because of you.
For those of you that this is catching off guard and expected trash talk, Jordan threatened to rape all of red in the butt viciously so I'm going to be quiet all week until Sunday when we beat the dog shit out of White

| Nolan, despite the record we had, I want to say the following (Old English Voice): 'Twas an honor fighting alongside you.
100% on every play.
And for those on Blue who showed up week after week to play hard w/ us...nothin' but respect...Shango and Sheker especially.

| mike it was a lot of fun you and pat and many others had a great attitude, and if this is my last year coaching it was worth the anguish of losing in order to be a part of those winning attitudes

| From an earlier post this season (in case you can't read, I gave you your due dummy):
Fact 4, Nolan coaching this year was not a great idea for Blue and for the league. Chris Zeer returned healthy and requested Blue back, but the coaches opposed. Fact 5, I have respect for the way Nolan has led his team - always playing the CFL way. His commitment to the league can never be questioned.
Fact 11, I will beat anyone in league in the beep test for $100.
Any takers?

| Great post Joey. I hope you are a coach next year. The no shows are pretty disappointing. We need to be more selective at the rookie game and try to get a better sense of who is fully committed. No excuse whatsoever though for veterans not showing up.
