Author TOPIC: Rhinos end 2012 with medals

Last weekend we had 14 Rhinos compete. All of them wrestled hard and we came home with 9 medals.

Among the 14 wrestlers we had 2 compete for the first time. Blake wrestled his first matches ever in the novice league and managed to win 2 matches by pin to bring home a silver medal.

Our other beginner was Roland wrestling for the first time in the pee-wee group. He was very nervous but went out and wrestled two very fun matches to watch.

Our top performance of the weekend goes to Hunter T. He won all 4 of his matches by pinning his opponent in the first round. His new nickname is the pin master after making quick work of his opponents. He wrestled less than 2 minutes in all his matches combined to beat his 4 opponents.

Our surprise performance came from Kayden M. He brought home a gold medal for the first time ever. In his previous two season he has only managed to win one match but he definitely came prepared on saturday to triple his win total in just one day.

I am proud of all my wrestlers and I hope to see Rhinos at the next tournament (Novice league only) this sunday January 6th at Sedro wolley.
