| Just wondering if the new bat rules will be in place for the league this year. I do not play weekends and would like to know ahead of time if I need to buy a new one.

| I believe you will have to swing a 2013 stamped bat. The umpires are requesting we do either senerio. Its either that each team pay an extra $200 on top of their fees to make the league a supplied bat league or everyone just get your own. It is open for discussion if you want to see what everyone wants.

| popout votes for 2013 models only. everyone wanted a level playing field, thats what usssa has supposedly brought us (remains to be seen, but whatever)....and too many people have already bought them. The new bats seem to be as hot as the old ones. Can't see shutting it down without even giving it a shot. And again, too many people have already bought them.
POPOUT!

| i like the supplied bat idea because it takes the cheating aspect out of it.....but i like my own stuff because i play on the weekends and like a certain brand because it fits my swing and you get used to using it......one way or another we need to figure it out asap

| I'm not against supplied bats either but they'd need to be good bats. I'd rather it be a wood bat league than a swing a crappy composite bat league. jmo. Pawtucket did it last year, the bats were alright, The Spike Baker was pretty good and the SCX2 RI which I also own is, not so great. You adjust, but ultimately it's not as fun. But yeah, at least you'd know we're all swinging the same thing.
Let's get a few more opinions here, if anyone's been around.

| Using good bats in a supplied bat league may be costly. Pawtucket leveled the playing field perfect last year. Granted it wasnt as "fun" you are still playing the game and you are not worried about getting your teeth knocked out with a good bat or illegal bat. They used Shitty bats yes both bats were pretty gross and he didnt use rocks so it made the game completly different. guys who hit for power @ 140lbs can no longer hit the long ball. Thats how it was back in the day you knew the homerun hitters now anyone with a composite and decent ball can swell up (including myself). supplied bats and a decent ball would be a good way to go. Not a rock but something better than what pawt. used. remember we do play in a 285 ft field lol.

| Personally, every wood bat league I've played in has leveled the playing field more than anything and imho they are better than crap composites and have more pop than people think. They actually hit really well with the 52 275's in poops league last year. Also, not very expensive. And like you say it's a 285 foot field (it's actually 273 and they count the fence as part of that 285, lol), but wood would never happen. People are more scared of a wood bat league than a supplied shaved bat league for some reason.
I would be highly disappointed if I couldn't use any of the bats utrip insisted that I had to buy for 2013. But I will swing a tree branch if thats what it comes down to. popout don't give dafaq!!1

| Be nice to know. If not supplied, I'd like to get a bat...wooden or otherwise to start swinging.
