| Do ASA Rules allow EH and DP/Flex to be used together in a game? Just trying to figure out how to get another player in the game.

| No such thing as an EH in fast pitch. But with the DP/Flex, if the DP plays defense, and of course you continue to play with a FLEX in the 10th slot (defense only), then one (1) of the front nine players, just bats.

| Not the wrong rule book Lou, but have you been reading any rule book at all? The DP/Flex will give you plenty of ways to get people into the game. Don't be afraid of the rule book, or the DP/Flex Rule. It's easier to understand than you might think.

| Look at the TRAINING PAGE on this web site, and you'll get an education on the DP/Flex like no other place. That's what makes this site so superior to any other, the details, and variety of information available. This forum is also a very valuable tool, where you can ask questions and exchange information.

| Actually USSSA allows 1 or 2 AP's so I get the question..In every USSSA tournament we played this year (15 games) I used an AP and a DP/Flex , mostly to get more players a WHOLE game, (not a piece)...but I never knew if it was legal...no one ever called me on it...so Lou< I get your question...

| AP? ASSOCIATED PRESS! They allow reporters in the line-up, just like the military allows reporters (IMBEDS) in the front lines? There you have it! AP!

| In USSSA the "AP" is an Additional Player. The use of both the DP/FLEX and/or up to 2 AP's are allowed. this would bring the number of players in a game to 12 with 11 batting. ASA only allows for 10 players in the game with 9 batting when utilizing the DP/FLEX in a game.
