| Amazing Rhino facts for this weekend:
We had 29 Rhinos wrestle this weekend.
23 of the wrestled in their FIRST tournament ever.
We wrestled 81 matches. 61of them were wrestled by first time wrestlers.
The team we took 3rd place on sunday. :)
Six wrestlers took first place:
Roland R.
Peter G.
Mason T.
Noah F.
Sam G.
Connor L
Our magic 8: 8 wrestlers took 2nd, 8 wrestlers took 3rd, 8 wrestlers took 4th
We also had 8 families with 2 wrestlers competing.
Becca R. wrestled in both tournaments and wrestled the most matches of the weekend. (6)
It was a great weekend for Rhino wrestling.
Our next novice league (WWKWL)tournament is 11/24 at Anacortes High school.
Our next USA wrestling tournament is sunday 10/17 at Auburn high school.

| I have a question....coach said the next tournament is 11/24 in Anacortes, but the Tournament Info tab says it is 11/30 in Burlington???

| When we got the tournament list in September there was no tournament on the 24th. The tournament was recently agreed upon by USAW and WWKWL and so I just added it to the list. All tournaments are optional so don't worry if you can't make it. I'm letting people know about the one on the 24th because we will have coaches there and that gives our athletes an opportunity for more matches this year.
Throughout the season some tournaments get cancelled for various reasons and sometimes some get added. In this case one got added. Last year we had one cancel because the gym roof was leaking.
Its good to know that wrestling doesn't have a strict competitions schedule like other sports.
For example: We have some kids who wrestle every weekend and will travel to tournaments that are not on our list. Meanwhile, we have some kids who have been with us for two years and have still never gone to a tournament.
Our listing there to let you know which tournaments we will send coaches to. Then the parents can decide if they want to go or not.
I hope that clarifies the list. If parents find tournaments they want to go to let me know and we will figure out a coaching arrangement. I have had wrestlers travel to spokane for the opportunity to wrestle in front of grandparents or other family members.
