| Runner on 3b 1 out ball hit to left field ball hits glove runner tags but ball is bobbled but caught. Defense wanted runner to be called out . Runner was called safe due to umpire saying runner can leave on contact . What is the correct call ???

| Runners can leave on first contact. Otherwise a player could purposely juggle the ball to hold runners on base longer.

| Can leave on first touch by a fielder.
