| Game 1 Red (-3.5) vs. White. O/U 31 All you have to say about red is that they’re undefeated the past 9 weeks when all of their players show up. AA and AT have the offense rolling, calling smart high percentage plays getting the ball in to the hands of the show stopper and Mazen on short routes and finding Ricky deep when the defense is playing shallow. AT and Peter haven’t been too shabby on offense either. On defense, Lance Samona/The professor/L-train/Abercrombie and Fitch Model/whatever you want to call him has this defense clicking on all cylinders. I don’t see a single weak spot in this D, except for when AA is being his usual lazy self. The showstopper and Timmy P have been applying constant pressure all year while Lance and co cover the leagues WR’s with little or no trouble, and Peter has been rock solid in the middle. The question with most the guys on this roster has never been talent, its been weather they can put their egos aside for the good of the team. If the D performs at their usual output and AA Manages the game well red will be in good shape. If I can give you any advice from playing with The showstopper in the playoffs, get him the ball!!
This white team has far exceeded anyone’s expectations coming in to this season. This offense has been up and down all year, which is, expected with a first year QB, but Timmy is getting the job done. When the ball is put anywhere in the vicinity of these WRs they have made a play. Joey Kejbou (probably second in the MVP voting) and JP Namou have made tough catch after tough catch all year, and Andrew Shango makes a nice play here and there when they remember he’s on their team. Not sure how JK and JP get more targets than the best WR in the league every game? Timmy Acho has showed promise at QB making many nice throws this year. The defense has been solid all year with great coverage in the back and solid rush from Brandon S, Sean M, and Angelo (great mid season trade). Scotty Acho has played solid all year on both sides of the ball. As much as I hate to say it JK has been excellent in coverage all year and is playing MVP type ball. I think Whites game plan is similar to reds, their defense will keep them in any game and if Timmy manages the game well enough they can be playing under the lights (Getting Superman a few more looks wont hurt either).
Game 2 Yellow (-9.5) vs. Black. O/U 38 Nate is back everyone, he has found his mojo, is it a coincidence Joey Jonna isn’t playing this year and Nate is playing this well? Everyone that was at the Yellow vs Blue game this past Sunday seen what Nate can do to a defense, not to mention he was without his all star wideout Mike Sesi, who Joe Kejbou continues to call overrated, he must of forgot about the game winning drive in 2013 when you made the comeback game winning 4th down catch right over him while making him tear his groin trying to defend you on the play, well no sense in talking about that, its in the past. Nick Hermiz has always been reliable in his 3 years with Nate catching out and drag routes routinely. Matt Shango has been blocking great all year, and holding when he can get away with it. The Best player other than Nate on this offense might just be Vinny Kejbou making countless spectacular grabs this season, most of them vs. blue. This team is probably the toughest team in the league. Matt Shango and Nick Hermiz are good for 2-3 dirty hits a game. Chris Sesi has played well on both sides of the ball creating a mismatch when lining up at lineman. One thing this team has over the other teams in the league is chemistry. Nate has pretty much drafted the same guys the past 3 years, and it is paying off down the stretch. Nate has the experience at QB and the skill that easily make them a favorite.
Black is coming in to the playoffs with a big win over green to get them in. Black showed great fortitude and grit fighting back and beating green to clinch a playoff berth. Black is in shambles, losing 3 straight after starting the year 4-2 and looking like one of the favorites. This team hasn’t gelled since trading away team favorites Derek Raban and Mike Hakim, not to mention the toughness this team lost when it traded away Nolan. Black has been sloppy the last half of the year and it looks like their confidence is at an all time low. Tarik has the talent to single handedly put this team on his back, but he rarely does that when the playoffs start. The talent is there with great blockers Derek P and MAX, who are also deadly receiving threats. Sean might be the best WR in the league after Superman, but it’s been hard to tell since he hasn’t gotten the rock much. Trock can always count on schuck in the back end zone, still burning cats half his age. On the otherside of the ball, the combination of Max, Bakou, and Derek P has created decent pressure, while the coverage has been average at best all year. Cheech might be the lone bright spot on D, looking like the second coming of AT with the way hes pulling flags but with a lot more speed. For Black to win Trock has to get the ball out of his hands and not take sacks, he has the talent to put the team on his back. The defense has to be better than it has been which they are capable of.
