Coach decides to change pitchers top of 3rd after 1 walk.. After 4 warmups, coach now decides he doesn't like what he sees on replacement & before play resumes, wants to make another pitching change with a different player even though no batter was faced by the 1st replacement. All players legal, in the game. Legal or not? And if Legal How many warm up pitches does the pitcher now get?

Every new pitcher should get five warm-up pitches. Unless it is a pitcher that is returning to the mound in the same inning. A returning pitcher would get no warm-ups.

Any pitcher new or returning gets 1 minute in which to throw no more than 5 pitches for warm ups. Any extra warm up pitches would be a ball to the batter. If the 4th pitch is past the 1 minute, it should b e a ball. Stay on top of this at the 1st inning and the game will move along. A starting pitcher must pitch to at least one batter, but I do not think a replacement in the inning has the same requirement, but a manager could possibly be hit with a delay of game..
