| Runner on 1st one out batter strikes ball but was called out due to front foot being out of box and on ground when contact was made . Runner was immediately called out . Ball went to second baseman who tug runner on first going toward second. Field umpire called runner out for double play . Plate umpire overturned and sent runner back to first due to ball being dead once batter was called out . What's the call this was in a co Ed adult slow pitch softball thanks

| You mean "BATTER" was immediately called out for being out of the batter's box. Ball is dead. R1, should return to first base. Correct ruling by plate umpire.

| I agree. Plate umpire was right on top of it. Batter out immediately. Dead ball. Return runner.
