Shango – QB1. Everyone in the league knows you’re Superman and yet the majority of them still doubted you. “Why would you take the best athlete in the league and throw him at QB?” “Can he even throw the ball?” They should’ve never doubted you!! First year as a QB in the league and you led your team on the biggest stage and brought home the Chy Cup!! You did all of this with hardly one good hammy all season. You promised me before the season that if I let you play QB you would get us a cup and you delivered on that promise. All I can say is thank you Superman!!
Mazen – You’re a different breed brother. Play full go on every play and never stop. You missed one game all year after pulling your hammy 3-4 times and breaking your hand. You took us from just Team Green to Green Machine!! Made every catch, every block, every interception, and every play we needed you to make all season. I can honestly say you are the best 2 way player in the league today and can play every position on the field!!
Brandon – I told you we’re coming to you!! From Week 2 (let’s all forget about what happened week 1) you took over in the second half vs. red and never looked back. You caught your stride and became the focal point of our offense. You went out last night and balled your ass off (with a broken hand in the second half) proving to everyone you can do more than just take screens to the house!! Locked down your side of the field on defense and I had all the confidence in you. You’re only going to get better….think someone may regret not keeping you but we won’t mention any names AA )
Preston – You stepped for this team big time. Made every play from the line and showed the league that you are as good a weapon as there is from the offensive line spot. You were a force on the line and helped solidify the line alongside Mark creating lanes for Shango to run all year. What’s crazy is that you’re probably better on defense. You deserve to play both ways next year P!!
Georgie – What can I say that hasn’t already been said about you? The motor that never stops churning. High energy and will go toe to toe with the biggest and baddest linemen out there. You did it all year and solidified yourself as one of the best rushers in the league. Huge diving pull on 4th down and even bigger sack in overtime to help seal the cup!! Congrats on your first cup, many more to come Georgie!!
Angelo – G-LO!!!!!!!!!!! You’ve got speed and a lot of heart kid. You had your best game of the season when you took over the playoff game vs. Yellow. Didn’t complain about banging in the trenches all year long and filled in on offense every time someone went down. You got a nose for the ball you can’t teach and one of the best flag pullers I’ve seen. You won’t be going that late in the draft again I can promise you that.
Mark – The ultimate team player and 7 time recipient of the CFL Lady Byng Trophy for sportsmanship. All while banging and getting dirty in the trenches on the field. You’re the guy that everyone hates playing against because they know it’s going to be a dog fight rushing at you. Our line was a mess without you and thanks for being a leader with this young team. We’ve been here the last few years and come out on the wrong side of things. You were going to get drafted by me each and every year until we finally got over the hump and this was the year!! Feels good to finally get one with you!!
Rami – You were the heart of the defense and D-Line and you’re only a rookie. Taking control, knowing where to be and making big sack after big sack. Endless hustle and back pursuit on every play is what goes unnoticed but means so much during the game. You played your ass off this year and the rest of the league witnessed it. I’m glad I took a chance on a rookie from Michigan State and it paid off!! Enjoy the many years you have to come in this great league Doc!!
Ernie – There are many famous sports curses that we know of today. Some that come to mind are The Curse of the Billy Goat, The Curse of Bobby Layne, the Curse of the Bambino, and the most famous of all the Curse of Ernie. But all curses must come to an end. You were Mr. Reliable all year long (except week 1 when you decided to attend a golf outing and inform me at 7:00AM the day of) but you more than made up for it. You were our best receiver all year long making big play after big play and serving as Shango’s safety net. You still do have the best hands in the league baby. Love you Worm!! You’re name will forever be engraved on the cup!! Congrats Champ!! #ForErnie
Donny Jappaya – You played like a beast in the games you filled in helping to fill that void in the middle on defense like you’ve been playing it forever. Looking forward to seeing you as an every day player next year!!

Team Green – Thank you all for making this such a special season. It is one we will always remember and this team will forever be linked together. Love you guys!!
Team Blue – Congrats to team blue and Justin Orow on a great season. They fought through as many injuries as you can imagine especially on championship night losing 2 of their starters and already being down one. It still took Green 2 OT’s to come out on top. Get healthy everyone and hope to see you guys back next year.
