| I completly agree with you. Car 61 and 7 did not cross the finish line so how could they get 1st and 2nd place??? Car 52 deserved to get 1st because he was the 1st one to cross the finish line. The crash was just racing....it happens all of the time.

| #99 Fan is right. I'm not sure if it makes any difference but 52 swerved into the infield to avoid the crash and passed the checkered while he was in the infield. What are the rules on that one???????

| I would like to know the answer to that question also. Do you think that Nascar racing would give the checkered flag to someone who crossed the line in the infield. I don't think so. And also last year i can remember there was an incident with car 58 and 2. Car 58 was just car lengths away from the finish line and he got wiped out. He had his car wrecked and he never got the 1st place handed over to him. I think the ones in the tower does whatever they want to do. They have their favourites too. It sure looks that way.

| The way it works is if the car completes the lap no amtter how it's completed he's credited where he crosses the (line) there is no finish line in avondale ne ways.. but in reality everyone knows where the "line" is i know it sounds retarded but ya..
someone already made reference to this in another post it happened in nascar last year when elliot sadler flipped on his roof down on the apron of the track and passed by the finish line he got credited with where he crossed the line it's just the way racing is spose to be

| How long have you been watching nascar it has happened lots of times.NOt so many the last few years but late 60s and 70s when there was alot of pushing and banging going on it happened alot. If your not old enough to remember just watch the speed channel they show those great highlights all the time!!!!
