Members and followers of the CFL:

The 2nd Annual Chaldean Idol will be held this Friday, July 29th, at the Royal Oak Music Theater (4th Street west of Main). All proceeds will benefit the Chaldean Community Cultural Center at Shenandoah.

Doors will open at 7, and the show will start promptly at 8. Last year's show was such a hit they doubled the venue capacity to accommodate this years expected 800+.

Hosted by Channel 955's MoJo, with musical guest performances by Steve Acho, Eastside Tony, Mike Jones and Jon Bon Jovi (the last 3 will cancel at 7pm Friday).

For more info visit www.chaldeanidol.net or www.tickets.com. VIP tables have all been sold out so check these sites for general admission seating.

PS: There will be plenty of eye candy at the show so have that fade lined up, and the Drakar on hand; they'll have the Henessey on ice. And don't worry Bob, they will have Grey Goose too.

How are we going to raise money for the East Vs West game? Also do you think we can get a business to sponsor each team so we can get jerseys? Let me know, if you need to call me my number is 248-561-6100

We can definitely get sponsorship from a wide variety of Chaldean-owned businesses. This i'm sure of.

When did you want to setup the East v. West game? I'm thinking mid-season, kind of like an all star game with coaches deciding who plays. How ever it is set up, I do not think there is enough time to have it ready for the day of the rookie game unless we get moving on this now.

I'm thinking out loud here, but the CFL could make a requirement to raise (or charge as is current status quo) $100 per man plus $1000 per team (sponsored by local businesses) to cover costs for jerseys, and refreshments for the East v West game. Each coach should have the final say as to what business will sponsor their respective team during the season. If a coach cannot find a sponsor, we could easily find a sponsor for that team.

For example, team white = Jonna Construction

We could easily put together a 10 page program with our sponsor's advertisements, a history of the CFL, previous team winners, photo's from past seasons, etc...

Let me know what you think, and if any other CFL members want to add your opinion, please do so here; otherwise menshee bassha (holla back)
