THERE SHOULD BE NO WATER TRUCK IT SHOULD BE SPRAYED WITH CALCIUM TO KEEP THE DUST DOWN.THERE ARE CARS ON THE TRACK WITH SPONSORS MARKED ON THEM AND YA CAN'T SEE THEM BECAUSE OF THE MUD.

I know what you are saying. It is a really good idea. I don't know a whole lot about the calcium bit, but does it stick to the rock and make it compact? Because if not, calcium would be a bit more expensive having to wet the track a few times a day. More expensive than water. The dirt on the track would be moved around soo much and the calcium would be useless, maybe? Just a thought! Good idea though. Maybe Bern can look into it.

also someone is going to get hurt with all the mud on the track, nothing wrong with a bit of water to keep the dust down but u dont have to soak the track,, the wipers cant go fast enough to keep it off... cut back on the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that bern should put some money into the place. There is no soap to wash your hands,no paper towels to wipe them. The track could use a fix up,there are so many potholes that the cars are getting flats. The bleachers are disgusting and could use a fix up.

Think again?

Was at mile one sat and it cost me $80 bucks for the family. At Avondale Sunday cost $20 and they put on a better show. We sat in red plastic seats with high backs and they were more comfortable than the ones we had at mile one!

the seats at the track are the ones that came out of the old memorial stadium.if not they certainly look like them.i agree with the part about the sponsors being covered with mud would be nice to be able to see them.buts that dirt track racing.got to keep the dust down no matter what you use to do it.to much dust cant see the racing.plus maybe some people there with alergies or maybe even some kind of breathing disorder.if they like to watch the races no water on the they cant attend.when the track is real wet the fastest car dont always win.the drivers skill will win it for them.the V8's put off to good races sunday was close till some of the cars got flats.was nice to see ross in the 16 show.i liked that entrance though slipped in the back very late with his buddy dean in the 2 car together.if we can get the other couple of cars out 11 32 93.it wiil be a great summer of racing.the 77 looked good today.charlie won the heat race was doing well in the main till got a flat.charlie said was going to race part time but has showed 3 0f 4 weeks.was talking about lookiing for someone to split the team with him.is he still looking.great day of racing and very entertaining today by all the classes of cars.keep up the good job guys.

I am not from avondale but why are you guys complaining about mud. Thats just dirt trackin'. Also who has windshield wipers on a stock car? Take out the windshield and put some tear offs on your visor, works alot better.

you outta your mind, with the rocks that get fired back from them cars, you would likely be knocked out with out a windshiled.

unlike most dirt tracks with a clay like surface, there are too many rocks in avondale for us to use tear offs instead of windshields.

hey reider.. if u had a clue about racing you would understand. ok u say u cant see the racing is there is dust, well we cant see while racing with all the mud.. your windsheild can get coverered very fast and u cant see a thing,.. when it is very muddy the car that wins is the one that starts out in the front of the pack cause that car is the only one not getting their windsheild covered with mud.. and to that other tool talking about tear off strips on your visor and no windsheild.? haha thats a good one too.. all these people that dont race think they have it all figured out, they are just making fools out of themselves!!!

at most dirt tracks across canada and us cars don't have windshields in them, but they run on a clay track where they don't have to worry about rocks.here at avondale we have rocks the size of your fist regularly kicked up of the track.i only know of one person that tried to race without a windshield ONCE!!!steve abbott from gander,i don't think he will ever do that again!!!also dirt tracks do run at night where you don't have the sun dry out the track that fast, and they spend all day watering the track down.the best time at avondale is when it rains alot over night and soaks the track not just the top 1/8 of an inch.

i didnt mean to open the flood gates at the track.maybe a little sprinkle after every couple of races if it is needed to keep the dust down.not soak the track so you cant see where you going from mud covered windshields.maybe just in the corners that seems to be where most of the dust is kicked up from.
