| Week 5
8:15: Green vs. White
Green -2.5, O/U 32
Green is on fire, winning 2 of the last 3 games by a combined 2 points and extending their winning streak to 3 in a row now. Some might call it luck, I call it heart. Lance continues to show why he’s so valuable to this team with his poise and leadership both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. In the huddle, he’s always pressing the right buttons with a perfectly timed blitz, or a 50-yard bomb down the middle of the field to Preston out of the tackle position (Crazy Play!). Speaking of Preston, way to take over that game late with two monster catches in overtime, that was impressive. It’s too bad that the streak must end this week though. Whites defense will be too much for a hobbled Team Green with Shango, Angelo, Preston, Lance, and Mazen all listed as questionable, credit Adam Schefter for the inside scoop. I would like to see Green at full strength, hell I’d like to see any team, at any strength actually #FreeScotty. I’ll take White with the points and the under here.
9:30: Yellow vs. Black
Yellow -10, O/U 37
Yellow showed you last week that no matter what their record is they’re always dangerous when they have that abid quarterback on their team. They ran all over Red and shut that high-powered offense down as well. Black on the other hand continues to struggle. I love the talent there but they just cannot put up points, which is a recipe for disaster for any team. Black is averaging just 12.5 points per game this season. With the kind of athletes, they have on that side of the ball there is no excuse to be putting up numbers like that. I like what they did on Defense against White last week and in a match-up against the abid, it’s always nice to have AY on your team. Speed against speed, AY could be a big problem for Yellows offense in this game. However, I’m giving up the points to take Yellow and the over on this one.
10:45: Red vs. Blue
Pick'em, O/U 43.5
We got two high powered offenses facing off in the late game. Could we see a repeat performance of the Blue/Yellow game in week 3? Justin vs. Akrawi, both with big arms, and both super-fast and light on their feet! This is a true toss up game for me. On paper, I like that Red brings speed upfront against Justin with Jordan and Max but as we saw last week, it did nothing to slow down the abid and Yellows offense. Maybe they will make some adjustments this week and catch Blue on an off day. They have shown to be a bit inconsistent from week to week. Gun to my head, I’m taking Blue and the under here.
