| The RI Lady Cyclones 13U/8th Grade kicked off the season with a great weekend at the Hall of Fame Kick Off Classic in Springfield, MA. The girls won their pool, going 3-0 with a 34-26 win over the Western Mass Cheetahs, a 46-43 win over the Bay State Jags and a 30-26 win over the Bay State Blizzard. In the semifinals they played a very good and big Springfield Lady Ballers team and had their best game of the weekend winning 55-51. In the championship game at the Basketball Hall of Fame, we got down early by 20 points to the Boston Showstoppers. At halftime I challenged the girls to keep playing hard and enjoy playing at the HOF. They responded by winning the second half 26-19. All 10 players worked hard the entire weekend and should be congratulated for repersenting the RI Lady Cyclones.
