Nick Yobbi Guns Down Jordan Campano At The Plate To End Game
Ricky Olasz lead off the bottom of the first with a walk, stole second and scored on a Corey Rodgers double off the fence to put Quinn Construction up 1-0. Hot Shots Saloon would take the lead in the top of the 4th. Mudcat starter, Brandon Sandusky, gave up a lead off double to Ben Nolan and then hit Randy Dobnak putting runners at first and second. The Mudcats turned to Jim Pasquine in relief. Dan Jena laid down a sac bunt to move the runners up. The bunt paid off as Brady Benedetti and Adam Dodson each singled home a run to take a 2-1 lead. The Mudcats tied the score in the 5th. Nick Yobbi hit a one-out single and advanced to second on Dan Campbell's walk. Corey Rodgers tied it up with his second double of the game, 2-2. In the bottom of the 6th, Ryan Kandsberger lead off with a single and moved to second on Danny Laird's sac bunt. With two outs, Pasquine drilled a single up the middle to score Kandsberger with the go-ahead run. In the top of the 7th, Pasquine got two quick outs and then Jordan Campano hit a double to deep right field to put the tying run on second. Anthony Monaco delivered a clutch hit to right field but Nick Yobbi threw a perfect strike to the plate and gunned down Campano to end the game.
