Anthony Garofalo K's 10 In Dominating Performance
Anthony Garofalo was dominant on the hill for Quinn Construction. Garofalo only allowed 3 base runners all game and no Klingensmith runner reached second base. Erick Locker turned in a good performance of his own for Klingensmith Insurance. The game was locked in a 0-0 tie until the 5th inning. The Mudcats of Quinn Construction broke the tie by capitalizing on a costly error. Nick Yobbi hit a one-out single and moved to third when Brooks Marzka reached base on an error. Tarran Senay hit a deep fly ball to score Yobbi making it 1-0. The Mudcats struck again in the 6th with some insurance runs. Kevin Quinn lead off the inning with a single and Brandon Sandusky drew a walk. With two outs, Yobbi drew a walk to load the bases for Marzka. Marzka laced a 3-2 pitch into the hole between short and third. Johnny Rende made a nice diving stop but Marzka beat out the bang bang play at first allowing two runs to score. Senay finished the scoring as he laced a line drive to right, driving in Yobbi for a 4-0 Mudcat lead.
