South Park Downs Canonsburg 7-2
South Park was victorious over Canonsburg on a steamy night at Evans field, 7-2. The pitching trio of Matt Mish, Austin Berger and Cory Humphreys held the Canonsburg bats in check, allowing only 3 hits to bail out the South Park defense which committed 5 errors. Canonsburg was able to score two unearned runs as a result of South Park's iron mitts. South Park was led offensively by Dylan Pounds who went 3-3 and scored 3 times, Anthony Monaco with 2 doubles and 2 RBI and Adam Dodson and Alex LaBarbera who both drove in 2 runs in the winning performance. Canonsburg's Chris Hawkins scored both of their runs after reaching on an error and a walk. Jordan Oddi had the lone extra base hit for the Knights with a 5th inning triple but Berger was able to strand him at third base. The teams will meet again Thursday night in an 8 P.M. game that has been moved from Clairton Park to Evans with Canonsburg as the home team.
