Saints score 3 in the 7th in getting 7th straight win!

The Saints found themselves down 2 to 0 through 6 innings and then they finally exploded for 3 runs to claim a 3 to 2 win over last year's Battle of Omaha runner-up team!

With 1 out, Bailey Owens drew a walk. Noah Sanders Singled to put runners at 1st and 2nd. With 2 outs, Kitchel Gifford drew a walk to load the bases. With 2 outs and a 1 ball, 2 strike count, Parker Shelton delivered a 2 RBI Single to plate Owens and Sanders to tie the game at 2 to 2! The next batter, Luke Barnes rocked a Double down the line to score Gifford from 2nd for the 3 to 2 lead.

Cole Wedding came into the game as the closer and faced 4 batters to secure the win and earn the save. He came in relief for Ashton Guyer. Guyer picked up the win as he pitched the first 6 Innings and then the Saints scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th before giving way to Wedding. Guyer gave up 2 runs, both were earned on 2 hits, 5 walks, and 10 strike outs! This was Guyer's 19th Career Win with the Saints and after the game, he got a call from his HS Coach, Ryan Berryman, and was informed that he made the North-South All-Star Game that will be held July 20th - 22nd at South Bend where the Single A Chicago Cubs play! Ashton also had 19 Career wins with Western High School where he finished 19 & 4 in his career. Great job Ashton!

The Saints got 5 hits in the game. The big hit being the 2 RBI Single by Shelton and the RBi Double by Barnes. Bailey Owens, Easton Embry, and Noah Sanders also Singled to account for the 5 hits.

The Saints now stand at 11 Wins and 1 Loss and have won 7 in a row! They play against Ralston, Nebraska at 9 AM and Clever, Iowa at 1:45 PM on Saturday, June 23rd as there are a total of 4 pool games in the Battle of Omaha 19U Tournament.
