Back to Back State Champions!
The offense set the tone with a 5 run first inning and a 3 run second inning to take an early 8-0 lead. Matt Danz was masterful on the mound, picking up the complete game victory. Austin Colmery ignited the fire with a triple in the bottom of the first before scoring the game's first run. Nate Thomas had 4 hits and 2 RBIs, Matt Poma contributed 3 RBIs, and Jack Dubecq also added 2 RBIs on 2 hits. Matt Danz struck out the final batter, but the ball got away from the catcher, before Marshall Awtry fired to first baseman Eric Ludman, finishing the game and cementing Post 1 as the 2018 Delaware State Champion.
