Cottrill Three Run Homer Propels Noodles To First Round Win
Nick Popielarczyk got the Roman Noodles offense going in the first inning with a three run home run, but the Noodles would need more than that to take down The Abyss. They would get it off the bat of Matt Cottrill. He belted a three run homer in the bottom of the third to make it 6-5 Roman Noodles. The Abyss got four runs in the top of the second on home runs by Cam and Jake Kennedy, and added one in the third, to make it 5-3, before Cottrill's bomb. Jake Kennedy and Nick Popielarczyk dueled on the rubber and had similar stat lines, but Pop came out with the W and Kennedy got dealt the L.
