Bats Stymied at Cowboys Lose To Wildcats
Both teams were strong on the bump on Tuesday by Wolcott Tech was just a bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over Litchfield. Joe Sepples started the game for the Cowboys while Damian Webb started for the Wildcats.
Wolcott Tech got on the board in the bottom of the third after Devon Schmitt tripled, soring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Sepples led things off on the mound for the Cowboys and allowed five hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out none and walking one. Webb started for the Wildcats allowing two hits and no runs over six, striking out five and walking one.
Chase Reynolds, Sepples, and Cyrus Gerena each collected one hit for the Cowboys. Elian Vega led the team with one run batted in.
Schmitt drove the middle of the lineup, leading Wolcott Tech with two runs batted in. He went 2-3 on the day.
