Spartans Take Down Cowboys
Shepaug built their lead a few runs at a time in a 6-0 victory over Litchfield.
The Spartans opened the scoring in the first after Myles Wilson singled, scoring two runs.
Travis Lipinsky started on the hill for the Cowboys. He surrendered five hits and four runs, striking out three and walking four. Peyton Thomas started on the bump for Shepaug. He allowed four hits and no runs over 4 and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three.
Chase Reynolds and Lipinsky each had two hits for the Cowboys.
Shepaug had nine hits in the game. Wilson drove the middle of the lineup, leading shepaug with two RBIs. John Croft led the Spartans with three hits. Rocco Smith had two hits.
