Astros Take Early Lead, Fight Tooth And Nail To Secure W
The Astros scored often and early on a warm June night in Bedford, and escaped with a victory by the skin of their teeth. Sirois (2-0) cruised through 5IP, recording one K while giving up just three hits and no walks. Dirty Jimmy Dwyer entered in the 6th inning and worked an economical two innings, giving up one unearned run on three hits before yielding to Krammes to close it out in the eighth and ninth innings. Krammes threw two filthy K's while the Astros defense gave back four runs to the Mets (two unearned). Saturday rain-willing, the Astros meet the NH Pirates on Saturday on their new Merrimack home field, while the Mets welcome the MA Millers to Bedford.
