Big Innings Help Astros Attain Liftoff
In a game measured by gallons of sweat lost by each player, the NH Astros came out on top of a nip-and-tuck affair with the NH Pirates after a trio of big innings despite some shakiness in the field: the Astros were guilty of 5 errors. Fortunately, Astros pitchers were able to limit the Pirates batters to single hits save for Habib (2), Girard (3) and Carnegie (3). On the Astros side, Testa (2), Barber (2), Page (3), Sirois (2), Klinger (2), and Hurley (2) all had multiple hits. It was a hit party! The NH Pirates have been stung by the injury bug and will not be able to field a team for a DH with the MA Warriors this upcoming weekend, while the Astros will welcome the NH Brewers to their second-half season home in Merrimack on Saturday.
