Josh Pileggi Has Lots Of Hits But Goobers Softball Fall To G
Josh Pileggi collected three hits in three at bats, but Goobers Softball lost to Goat 19-10 on Tuesday. Pileggi hit a home run in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the first inning.
Goobers Softball collected 15 hits and Goat had 25 in the high-scoring affair.
Goat got on the board in the top of the first inning after #8 hit an inside the park home run, and #15 doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, Goobers Softball went back into the lead after Bobby Chapman doubled, Kyle Gerrard hit a sacrifice fly, and Kevin Robbie singled, each scoring one run.
Goat flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by PlayerL that drove in two.
Goat scored five runs on seven hits in the top of the third inning. #15 hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs, #85 tripled, scoring one run, #10 singled, scoring one run, and PlayerL doubled, scoring one run.
Goobers Softball scored two runs in the bottom of the third on a home run by Pileggi.
Goat scored five runs on five hits in the top of the fifth inning. Sean Danilko induced PlayerL to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Stripe Jacket singled, scoring one run, #8 doubled, scoring one run, Cargo Shorts grounded out, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.
Goobers Softball scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Danilko singled, scoring one run, Jon Boodhoo singled, scoring one run, Ariah Tell tripled, scoring two runs, and Pileggi singled, scoring one run.
Danilko started in the circle for Goobers Softball. The righty gave up 25 hits and 19 runs (17 earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking none.
Goobers Softball accumulated 15 hits in the game. Boodhoo, Chapman, Tell, and Robbie each collected multiple hits for Goobers Softball.
Goat accumulated 25 hits in the game. Cargo Shorts, #15, and PlayerJ each collected three hits for Goat. PlayerL led Goat with four runs batted in. PlayerL went 2-for-3 on the day. #11, #85, #7, PlayerK, #8, and #10 each collected multiple hits for Goat. Goat turned one double play in the game.
