All Offense In Goobers Softball Loss vs Thunder Buffaloes
Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Goobers Softball fell to Thunder buffaloes 19-9 on Tuesday. Thunder buffaloes collected 27 hits, while Goobers Softball had 15.
Ryan McNeil collected three hits in three at bats in the loss. McNeil singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
Thunder buffaloes got on the board in the top of the first inning after White Crest scored after tagging up, Yellow Glove singled to center field, and #12 singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Goobers Softball tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by McNeil, a sacrifice fly by Kyle Gerrard, and a single by Bryan Ploen.
Thunder buffaloes took the lead in the top of the second inning after White Crest singled to center field, Black Hoodie White Glove tripled down the left field line, and #4 singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Thunder buffaloes added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when #12 doubled, scoring two runs, #62 doubled, scoring one run, and #23 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Thunder buffaloes scored five runs on seven hits in the top of the fifth inning. #73 singled, scoring two runs, #23 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, White Crest singled, scoring one run, and #4 singled, scoring one run.
Bobby Chapman stepped in the circle first for Goobers Softball. The righty surrendered 26 hits and 18 runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.
Goobers Softball collected 15 hits in the game. Ploen and McNeil each collected three hits for Goobers Softball. Darryl Danilko and Chapman each collected multiple hits for Goobers Softball. Goobers Softball were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Chapman had the most chances in the field with four.
