Goobers Softball Bats On Fire In Loss To Goat
Goobers Softball's bats were strong against Goat on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough as Goobers Softball fell 11-9. Goat collected 17 hits, while Goobers Softball had 12.
Goobers Softball was right in it until Goat hit an inside the park home run in the sixth inning.
Goat opened the scoring in the first after Cargo Shorts doubled, scoring one run.
Goobers Softball made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the first after JP Anderson singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
Goat took the lead, 4-3, in the top of the second thanks to singles by #55, and #24.
Goat added one run in the third after #10 singled to center field.
Goobers Softball tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a double by Bobby Chapman, and a single by Anderson.
Goobers Softball took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Brian Robbie singled, Rob Ryan singled, and Chapman hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Goat captured the lead, 11-9, in the top of the sixth when #24 singled, scoring one run, #9 hit into a double play, but one run scored, and #8 hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.
Chapman started in the circle for Goobers Softball. The starting pitcher gave up 17 hits and 11 runs (nine earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking one.
Goobers Softball piled up 12 hits in the game. Anderson led Goobers Softball with three hits in three at bats. Jon Boodhoo collected two hits for Goobers Softball in three at bats. Goobers Softball turned one double play in the game.
