Rats let the Rangers slip through their fingers
The Rangers won 7-6 after being down 6-1 in the final inning. Its probably the worst loss the Rats have had in a long time. The Rangers came out swinging in the 9th and took it from the Rats. Great pitching from the Rats' Colby Martin with 3 innings of work and striking out 9 and just facing 11 batters. Jose Hernandez came in for 3 innings and held the Rangers hitless through 6. Brandon Goswick came in relief for EF and held the Rats to just 2 runs. Jordan Shaffer started and threw well for 3 innings and Jack Walton swooped in as the closer to steal a win. David Pratt led the Rangers' charge in the 9th and had a pair of hits for the game. Joseph Tassin, the rookie, led the Rats with 3 hits and Helms and Jerome Murphy had 2 RBIs each for the Rats. Jacob Stuntz and Rafael LeBron "don't call me James" had a pair of hits each. Great comeback win for the Rangers and it was awesome to see the oldest guy in the league swinging it and play first base, Mr. Larry Goswick.
