Spickler One-Hits Muhlenberg

Steve Spickler dominated the A's lineup Saturday afternoon at Gochnauer Field as Valley View topped Muhlenberg 5-0 in a Schuylkill/Berks Crossover game. Spickler threw a complete game, one-hitter striking out six and not allowing a runner to reach third. Jordan Jeter's first inning infield single was the only hit for Muhlenberg (2-1, 6-3).
"He had us off balance all game," said assistant coach Bill Kantner. "You have to credit him for executing his pitches." Hunter Bordner led the West Enders offense going 2 for 4 with a double and a solo homer in the fourth. Anthony Pizzo took the loss for Muhlenberg despite throwing six strong innings allowing three earned runs.
