Muhlenberg Wins in Extra Innings
The Muhlenberg A's defeated the Minersville Miners in game one of a doubleheader 6-5 in 8 innings.
Stan Kuczawa finished 2 for 2 with an RBI. Michael Yednock was 2 for 3 with 2 stolen bases. Conor Williams went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's including the game winning hit to give the A's the win.
In the 8th, Yednock led off the inning with a single. After an unsuccessful sacrifice attempt, Yednock stole second and third. With two outs, Williams single to left walked off the A's and gave them a hard fought victory.
Elijah Keller relieved Jacob Miller who was removed after the first with an undisclosed injury. Keller threw five innings of five-hit relief giving up no earned runs. Cameron Weidner picked up the win pitching the final two innings sitting down all six hitters he faced.
