Muhlenberg Tops Tulpehocken In Playoff Opener
Cameron Weidner threw six innings of 4-hit baseball and Tyler Sassaman pitched the seventh to earn the save as the Muhlenberg A's overcame a strong pitching performance from Tulpehocken ace Eric Hartranft to win 3-2 at Gochnauer Field Saturday night.
With the game tied at two in the bottom of the sixth, Muhlenberg scratched a run across on a big two-out RBI single by Antoine Galloway.
"We needed someone to step up late and Antoine provided us with a key hit," said assistant coach Bill Kantner.
The A's advance to play Oley/Topton Sunady afternoon at Oley High School at 5PM.
