Cape Dodgers Cool off Amatos 21-7
The Dodger Blue had their way on the field today recording 12 put outs and 10 assist while only commiting 1 error. To the Amatos Majors credit, they put the ball in play while still collecting 8 walks on the day.
Tori Hale, Mary Farnkoff and Jamie Dillon shared the pitching duties for the game. Each threw well, but just off the plate for the day as the Dodgers had a keen eye and collected 19 walks and 6 hits.
Amato Highlights were 2 hits from Hale and big hits from Grace Bailer and a double by Chandra Labante each collecting 2 RBI's. Anna Driscoll collected 2 stolen bases. Chelsea Hughes swung the bat well connecting in all 3 plate appearances , but excellent fielding prevented her from advancing past first. Defensively the Girlz did well, Domonique Caron caught a fly ball at 2B, Hale two good play on the mound, as did Farnkoff and Dillon had two good plays at 2B. Julia Walker volunteered to put the tools on giving Labante a break behind the plate and did a good job for her first venture behind the plate.
